In Lugi Russolo’s “The Art of Noises: Futurist Manifesto” he states that “Noise differs from sound.” Noise surrounds are everyday. Whether we are waking up to the noise of birds, cars on the street outside, or maybe a thunderstorm. Starting up your car, the creaking floor boards, the sound of yourself breathing; no matter where we are, there will be noise. Sound, is what comes out of your iPod headphones, when you are watching television or sitting front row at a Lady Gaga concert.
While our lives may be filled with both noise and sound, we are able to turn sound off; there is no off switch to noises.
